Web Ink Now is the personal blog of David Meerman Scott, a marketing strategist and the author of the BusinessWeek bestselling book The New Rules of Marketing & PR. The contents reflect my personal opinions.

Disclosures

Because I do advisory work, run seminars, and do paid speaking gigs in the world that I write about, there are inevitable conﬂicts. I have friends in some of the organizations that I discuss in this blog, as well as in my books and on the speaking circuit, and I have run seminars or advised some of the companies mentioned in the blog.

When there is a potential conflict, I will call it out at the bottom of the post like this.

Review policy

I almost never review products (such as software) so please do not ask.

I occasionally review books on this blog. However, I receive about 50 books for every one that I review so your chances of a review are very small. I know what it is like to write a book and to hope for reviews. The issue is that I just don't have time to read all the books sent to me. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

I occasionally post a book review on Amazon that does not appear here.

Important note about my Amazon reviews: All my Amazon reviews are five (or occasionally four) stars. This is because I'm too busy to read a book I don't like -- there's just so many great books waiting! If a book doesn't capture my interest within a few chapters, I put it down and don't finish. And because I won't review a book I don't finish, all my reviews are of books I've enjoyed and get a lot of stars.

Comment policy

I try to maintain a free and open environment.

I welcome comments on this blog. You comments should be appropriate to the post that you are commenting on

By commenting you are granting the blog owner license to the content of the comment.

I maintain the right to delete inappropriate comments.

I will not remove a “negative” comment.

I will remove comments that are inappropriately off topic, comments that contain personal attacks, comments that are clearly spam (trying to sell a product without adding value to a discussion), and comments with excessive profanity.

If you do not use your full name in a comment, I do require a valid email address.
