HIRE ME TO SPEAK
HIRE ME TO SPEAK

One speech plus a dozen video cameras and a hundred people tweeting live

I write about strategies to turn fans into customers and customers into fans. I also share ways to use real-time strategies to spread ideas, influence minds, and build business.

In early 2011, I delivered a keynote speech about Real-Time Marketing & PR at the Marketing Sherpa Email Summit in Las Vegas.

A dozen people in the audience filmed the talk from different locations and nearly 100 tweeted it live.

I created a crowdsourced video, with inspiration from crowdsourced concert films by Radiohead and the Beastie Boys, to pull everything together to give you a sense of what it was like to be in the audience experiencing the talk in real-time.

Direct link to trailer in widescreen (2 minutes+) is here.

Complete crowdsourced video presentation (50 minutes).

I love applying real-time ideas to create a video about… well… real-time marketing & PR.

I wonder. Is there something you can do like this in your business?

My friends at HubSpot took this idea to create A 4-Step Guide to Producing Crowdsourced Video.

Daniel Burstein of MarketingSherpa blogged it here. Daniel says: "As I said when I introduced David at the Email Summit, we brought him in to help inspire marketers to take a fresh look at how they approach their marketing efforts. And kudos to David for holding himself to the same standard, breaking down the paradigm of what a professional speaker’s video could look like."

Thanks Daniel. This was a blast to do and I'm so happy that I was able to do it at your event.

What an incredible team effort this video was. Over 100 people worked on it. Thank you all so much!
