Rtmpr I've been working my entire career – 25 years – on the ideas in my newest book Real-Time Marketing & PR: How to Instantly Engage Your Market, Connect with Customers, and Create Products that Grow Your Business Now.

The spark of my idea of how marketing and public relations are now real-time activities came when I worked on Wall Street on a bond trading desk in the mid-1980s. The always-on electronic trading activity meant that if you waited even just a moment, you were unable to profit from news in the market.

The same is true of all organizations today. The always-on Web world has transformed marketing and PR.
