This is my 500th blog post.
When I started this blog at the end of 2004, I never would have imagined that I’d still be at it five years later.
And I would have said you’re nuts if you predicted that the blog would have nearly 5,000 comments and something like 2,000 links from other blogs.
Thank you for your support and encouragement.
Thank you for your comments.
Thank you for telling me when I got off track.
Thank you for your contribution to ideas that started here and are now reflected in my books.
Most of all, thank you for reading.

There are 3 or 4 internet marketers who've inspired me David - and you're one of them.
You are all about evidence and case studies and not hype and gimmicks.
Long may that be the case.
All the best,
Mark
PS I'm one of the 2,000

Terrific accoomplishment, David. Sort of your own personal version of Armstrong's "giant step," huh?
Thanks for all the ideas, inspiration and insight.

Hi David,
I am finishing up reading your book The New Rules of Marketing & PR and I wanted to say it is truly a reviving read in a sector that has been quite immune to change until recently. The Long Tail remains one of my favorite book, and I really think the way you established the parallels/extensions with it is phenomenal. I work for a large global energy company and your work gave me the courage to email our group's CEO asking him about the possibility of opening up his blog to the internet on our company's website, as I believe it will add a great dimension to our more traditional press releases. If I have to give one area of critique it would be with the fact that if one reads the book from cover to cover, there are areas of overlap. I do understand this is necessary for people looking to skim sections seperately.
Again great work, and I look forward to reading your blog regularly...
Regards,
Omar

500 blog posts is fab. I have many myself but suffer with writers memory loss when approaching a new post topic. Some days its fine, then others, well, rubarb! Your posts are great David. Update us when you reach your first thousand.
All the best :-)
