In another lifetime, I wrote scripts for sales training films. At a workshop I attended, an eager young women was encouraging us corporate screenwriting types to market our "special skills."
"For example, if humor is something you're really good at, you'd want to highlight humor as one of your special skills." She then turned to me and asked what my special skills were.
I replied, "My special skill is inserting humor in the first draft and removing it in the eighth."
Times, it seems, have changed.
